This is the first thing that distinguishes outdoor wall art from regular wall art. This kind of art should withstand outdoor conditions: rain, snow, sun, you name it.

You can’t put paintings or posters outside; they would not survive long. You should consider other materials.

In most cases, it would be metal. You can use glass or plastic too, but those are more suited for the advertising industry, not home decor.

And by the way, you can’t use just ANY metal outdoors because it will rust. It should be special metal.

We use 2mm hot-dip galvanized steel for our outdoor wall art.

“Hot-dip galvanized” means that this steel was immersed in a huge bath of molten zinc, which creates a protective layer on top of the metal. Don’t worry, this zinc layer is not toxic and is widely used in construction, automotive parts, and household items.

When steel is hot-dip galvanized, it is protected against rust and humid environments. Our coastal collection is particularly popular among customers from tropical places like Florida.

There is another method called “electro-galvanization,” which also covers steel with a layer of zinc. But that layer is much thinner, and we would not suggest using metal wall art that was electro-galvanized in humid outdoor environments. We only use hot-dip galvanized steel.

As we just learned, hot-dip galvanized steel is already sufficient to make your metal wall art suitable for outdoor environments. But here comes the next layer - powder coating. This is what gives the outdoor art its color.

We cover our artwork with premium matte black powder coating. For those who don't know, it's not regular paint. It's not liquid.

To cover artwork with this powder, you need to have an industrial facility. The artwork is electrostatically charged. When the powder is applied, it adheres to the metal because of the opposite charge. Then the metal parts go into an oven, creating a smooth surface and curing the powder to the metal.

The result is an extraordinary surface. The engineers at our facility say that even if we applied this powder coating to ordinary metal, it would be sufficient for normal outdoor use (not too humid, though). But we always use double protection - zinc and powder coating.

Now that you know more about the manufacturing process, let’s talk about the color. All our models have a premium matte black surface.

Why black, you ask?

The black color is very versatile and will blend with many decoration styles. You can’t go wrong with black metal wall art; it blends perfectly into almost any exterior.

Plus, we use “super matte black,” not just black. Since it’s often sunny outside, you don’t want the art to be glossy because it will change the perception of the art completely. It is much better when it’s matte, trust us.

Remember in the beginning I told you about two things that make great outdoor art? We just covered the first part - quality. Now comes the second - design.

Without a great, catchy design, there is no reason to even explore the quality characteristics. You should love the design of your new wall art. It should be so catchy that you can confidently say, "Yes, this is it. I want to hang this in my outdoor patio."

We focus more on modern design, rather than rustic, classic, or animal-inspired. There are several reasons for that. First, we love modern and abstract designs more. Second, modern design can blend with both traditional and contemporary outdoor decor. Whereas rustic wall art in a modern exterior would look out of place.

Finally, modern and abstract designs are more timeless. You might get tired of a metal deer in the garden quickly, but sleek abstract forms for your outdoor backdrop can be enjoyed for years to come.

If you ask what our most popular product is, it’s no secret...

It is our horizontal outdoor metal wall art. The lines and forms are so unique, we bet you’ve not seen anything like it before. The largest size is 52 inches wide and 25 inches high, and this is the best-selling size. This preference for larger pieces is common for outdoor spaces, as exteriors typically offer more room to showcase impressive wall art compared to interior settings.

The second best-selling model is our modern vertical outdoor wall art. Again, the largest size (21x52 inches) is the most popular. It is almost as large as the previous model, just turned vertically. Vertical orientation is useful for many because not everyone has a wide wall in their backyard; some have narrow spaces that need a unique twist.

Hanging the wall art is not a big deal. You can definitely do it yourself, but for larger sizes, it’s good to have an extra pair of hands to help.

Here is how you hang your wall art in your backyard:

1. Put the wall art against the wall. Make sure it’s aligned horizontally (or vertically for vertical models). This is where a family member or friend would be helpful.
2. Mark the holes with a pencil.
3. Drill the holes and fix the mounting barrels. (We include all necessary fixtures in the box.)
4. Once the barrels are mounted, place the art over the barrels and secure it using the screw caps.
5. Done! Super easy!
